Summer Flowers/Solar dyeing

Coreopsis tinctoria (Dyer's Coreopsis) and Anthemis tinctoria (Dyer's chamomile)

  1. beautiful, beautiful. If your pictures don't inspire a person, I don't know what would. That's very ambitious growing madder root and such. I'm not a dyer yet, but an avid gardener and spinner. I ran into your post looking at the linen group on ravelry. I'm very much encouraged and impressed.

    1. Thank you for your comments! I must get blogging more frequently for the 2013 season. Madder is pretty easy to grow, it's the digging up the roots that takes more work. I also haven't managed to get a really "red" red yet.
