Washed Shetland

Here is the Shetland fleece after two cold soaks and one hot with soap (Life Tree dish soap).

















Combed with a flicker brush.














Yarn spun on Spindewood 1.25oz spindle.

  3. Keli, I soaked it in cold water for about an hour the first time and longer the second time. I admit I didn't keep very good records; I need to get a notebook for this.

    I used tap water though I've heard rain water is better; I didn't happen to have any.

    All my fiber prep information is from Ravelry on the "Fiber Prep" and other forums plus sometimes a referenced blog. Are you a member of Ravelry? You can go on there to the Forums page and search for fiber prep or cold water soak. It's amazing how much you can learn!
